Guitar player for over 24 years and multi-instrumentalist: Bass guitar, drums, hand percussion. Music Theory, complex time signature and key shifts, etc. Music recording and engineering/ Live Sound Engineering (mic setup/placement for ideal capture of drums, acoustic guitar, amps, vocals), analogue and digital consoles/control surfaces, MIDI editing, outboard gear and plugins, live venue sound reinforcement for concerts, etc.
Prior to my experience in Post Production and right after acquiring my Bachelor's Degree in Recording Arts/Music, I worked as a freelance Recording Engineer, having mainly worked out of a studio in San Diego, CA called Signature Sound. There I gained valuable knowledge and experience with analogue and digital mixing consoles (API, Trident, Toft, Digidesign) as well as outboard gear (Compressors, Mic Pres, EQs, Effects units etc) and microphone set up, placement, etc.
I also worked 5 years as a Live Sound and Video engineer/operator for various Audio Visual companies. I've done live audio and video applications for concerts, conventions, and symposiums large and small, and have interfaced with both creative and corporate clientele. I have taken part in the set up/operation/and take down of complex bi-amped and tri-amped systems for concerts as well as complex video and sound projection systems for corporate conventions and symposiums (multi mic set ups with wired and wireless systems)
