High School Musical 3 was my first major studio release as a sound editor...I worked on sound effects/crowds...the beginning scene here higlights both, with my input being basketball effects and crowds.
These next clips are from Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun Li. I was a sound effects editor on this film, with a dash of design (for mostly the fight scenes that I worked on). This scene is close to the beginning of the film,..I worked on fight FX.
This clip is a street fight between Chun Li and street thugs...I did FX/Fight FX.
As the previous clip, this clip is another fight scene taking place in a bathroom, and as before, I worked on sound effects/fight FX.
This was a practice exercise between projects during the COVID times...I stripped all the original sound re-design that somebody else had done and posted on YouTube and did some of my own. Unmixed, apart from some clip gain and odd Audio Suite effects here and there.
I re-designed all the fight FX and Foley FX from this scene in the movie "Hitman" much like the redesign for "THX"...only this time I added titles in DaVinci Resolve and I cut in percussion music from loops I have in my library (no original audio used).
In this short horror film, I had roughly a total of 7 or so hours (spread out) to do backgrounds, Foley FX, hard FX, and sound design. This 'exorcism' section I feel best represents my ability to edit under a time crunch without sacrificing the quality of emotions that sound can deliver for enhancing a director's vision.
From the Indie title "Sveener And The Shmiel", I did all the sound design for this 'death rig', including the rig's presence, all the mechanics and welding sounds, as well as the balloon release and the all the ensuing chaos in the testing of the rig.
This is my last film worked on, as such it is coming from my unmixed Pro Tools session (so it may be a bit louder than the other clips!). It is a mockumentary about the World Thumbwrestling Federation (WTF). On this film, all sound effects and design work were done by my colleague and I (somebody else tackled the dialogue..the dialogue here is from a guide track). In this film I did all crowds, backgrounds, and some FX/design. (in this clip I did the backgrounds, crowd and graphic fx)
This is the horror/slasher film that I worked on as a sound designer. Mainly the idea was to create a creepy sound/ambiance that surrounds the main character/killer, "Chrome Skull",...that was my design task, apart from working on general sound effects. This scene definitely highlights a lot of the creepy sounds along with FX that I had the opportunity to create in this film. Warning: Graphic, bloody gore towards the end of the clip!
